Loudoun County Primary Voter Guide: What’s On The Aug. 4 Ballot

LOUDOUN COUNTY, VA — On Aug. 4, voters in Virginia’s 10th Congressional District will choose who will represent the Republican Party in the November general election for that seat and who will also run against incumbent Democratic Sen. Mark Warner.

Early voting for the primary begins on June 18. Voters are not registered by party in Virginia, so any registered voter can cast a ballot in the Republican Party primary.

In Loudoun County, voters will cast their ballots for one of three Republican candidates running. Those candidates are:

• Dave Beckwith
• Julie Perry
• Anthony Suttles

On the Democratic side, incumbent Democratic Congressman Suhas Subranmanyam has already secured his party's nomination.

Senate Republican Primary

Voters can also choose from among 3 candidates running to represent the Republican Party in the U.S. Senate race in November. Those candidates are:

• Kim Farington
• Bert K Mizusawa
• David Earl Williams

On the Democratic side, incumbent Senator Mark Warner has already secured his party's nomination.

Below is information on early voting dates and how to vote in person and by mail in Loudoun County.

Key Early Voting Dates

Early voting opens on June 18. The last day to vote early in person is Aug. 1. The last day to request a ballot to be mailed to you, to register to vote, or to update your voting information is July 24.

Voters may register after July 24 and vote a provisional ballot. For information about same-day voter registration, visit the Virginia Department of Elections website.

Below is information for early voting in person and by mail.

Early Voting In Person

Early voters have a few options for in-person voting:

Early voting from June 18 to Aug. 1

To vote in person between June 18 and August 1, go to the Office of Elections in Leesburg, 750 Miller Drive, Suite 150, Leesburg, 20175.

Voting hours are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Extended hours will be offered on the following dates:

• Sunday, July 19 – office will be open 11 a.m. - 4 p.m.
• Saturday, July 25 - office will be open 9 a.m. - 5 p.m.
• Sunday, July 26 - office will be open 11 a.m. - 4 p.m.
• Tuesday, July 28 – office remains open until 7 p.m.
• Thursday, July 30 – office remains open until 7 p.m.
• Saturday, Aug. 1 – office will be open 9 a.m. - 5 p.m.

The Office of Elections will be closed on Friday, June 19. Early voting will resume on Monday, June 22.

Early voting from July 19 to August 1

Early voting will be available from July 19 to Aug. 1 at the following additional locations.

• Ashburn Recreation and Community Center - 21105 Coopers Hawk Dr., Ashburn, 20147

• Carver Senior Center- 200 E Willie Palmer Way, Purcellville, 20132
• Claude Moore Recreation Center- 46105 Loudoun Park Lane, Sterling, 20164

Early voting hours at these locations are:

• Sunday, July 19, 11 a.m. - 4 p.m.
• Saturday, July 25, 9 a.m. - 5 p.m.
• Sunday, July 26, 11 a.m. - 4 p.m.
• Tuesday, July 28, 12-7 p.m.
• Wednesday, July 29, 10 a.m. - 5 p.m.
• Thursday, July 30, 12-7 p.m.
• Saturday, August 1, 9 a.m. - 5 p.m.

Early Voting By Mail

Loudoun County voters can return mail-in ballots through the U.S. mail. The postage is prepaid. They can also drop ballots at designated sites.

• Drop it at the 24/7 drop box at the Office of Elections at 750 Miller Dr. Suite 150, Leesburg, VA 20175, no later than 7:00 p.m. on Election Day.
• Drop it off at an early voting site during open hours.
• Drop it at any polling place on Election Day, no later than 7 p.m.
