Lila Elizabeth “Beth” Chisman, 63

Lila Elizabeth “Beth” Chisman, born in Hampton Feb. 8, 1949, died Aug. 2, 2012, after a brief illness in Purcellville, VA. She was the most amazing, loving, generous, vibrant and spirited mother, sister, grandmother, daughter, friend and nurse.

Beth is survived by her much-adored three daughters: Amy Iliffe and her husband Eric, Kimberly Emery, and Sarah Emery and her partner Mary Strong; as well as her most cherished grandchildren: Benjamin and Madelyn Iliffe; and her beloved dog Dodger. She also is survived by her mother Polly Chisman; brother Tommy Chisman and his wife June; and sisters: Pamela Martin, and Anne Chisman Abraham and her husband Warren.

As a labor and delivery nurse at Fair Oaks Hospital, Beth was passionately devoted to her patients. Her sense of humor and love for those under her care made being around her a blessing and an inspiration. Beth was truly an angel, whose sense of adventure, energy and joy for living were beautifully contagious. She is at peace and happily reunited with her father and brother-in-law.
