Attempted Robbery Suspect Nabbed In Sterling
UPDATE: A man who tried to rob a Mattress Warehouse store at Dulles Eastern Plaza in Sterling has been arrested: LCSO.
STERLING, VA — Police arrested a man Friday who tried to rob a Mattress Warehouse store early Thursday night at Dulles Eastern Plaza, according to the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office. Christopher M. Coghlan, 21, was charged with attempted robbery and wearing a mask in the commission of a robbery.
Around 6 p.m., the man entered the business and demanded cash. He implied he had a weapon. But the the suspect and the employee got into an argument that turned physical, after which the suspect fled — presumably without the money he was seeking. The employee received minor injuries.
