'Back-To-School Blowout" Concert Festival Set In Loudoun

The "Back-to-School Blowout" outside concert festival, complete with live teen bands from around Loudoun County, is being held this month.

LOUDOUN COUNTY, VA—Here's a novel idea: students celebrating the beginning of the school year instead of the end. But it's more than an idea, it's the "Back-to-School Blowout" outside concert festival, complete with live teen bands from around the county.

Scheduled rain or shine for 3-6 p.m. Sept. 15 at the Woodgrove Park and Round Hill Aquatic Center, 17010 Evening Star Drive, the free event is for students in grades 6-8, including home schoolers. It's "designed to promote the health and well-being of Loudoun's young teens."

Among the bands will be Stone Cold, winner of a 2018 "battle of the bands" contest. There also will be interactive games, a rock wall, an obstacle course, ice cream and swimming. It's sponsored by various Loudoun County government agencies and Loudoun County Public Schools.
