Do you feel a need to slow down and reconnect or go deeper with your relationship with the Lord? Have you prayed for or longed for revival here in Loudoun County? Do you simply love Jesus and enjoy being in His presence and worshipping him and crave more time to do just that? If you would answer "Yes" to any of these questions then come join YWAM on Saturday, July 30th, for their first 12 hour Worship Burn from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. at the new Church of the Holy Spirit Worship Center in Leesburg.

Participate in 12 hours of unceasing worship and prayer offered unto the Lord as the unified Body of Christ in Loudoun County. This is the first of many monthly, non-denominational, multi-cultural, multi-generational expressions of worship to the Lord. Revelation 7:9 gives us a glimpse of what eternity will look like as a multitude of people from every nation, tribe, people and language are gathering around the Lord's throne worshipping Him. “After this I looked, and there before me was a great multitude that no one could count, from every nation, tribe, people and language, standing before the throne and before the Lamb. They were wearing white robes and were holding palm branches in their hand.”

We have the amazing honor and privilege to get a glimpse of that incredible experience right here as teams representing many nations, people and languages take shifts worshipping the Lord and praying shoulder to shoulder during this 12 hour period.  At this time YWAM has worship leaders or teams from a variety of churches and cultures including African-American, Hispanic, and South-Asian churches.

Bo's and Teresa's passion is to see Loudoun become a continuous lamp, a burning altar of unceasing worship and prayer sending a pleasing aroma up to the throne of God that will draw the presence of the Lord and release revival to our region and ultimately to the nations represented here.

What Is a Worship Burn Gathering?

Worship Burns may last anywhere from 6 to 100 hours with the goal of becoming a 24-7-365 event. These times are divided into 2-hour shifts which are filled by teams from the Body of Christ in the region. These teams range from one person leading worship and prayer from a guitar, keyboard or other lead instrument, to full bands accompanied by prayer leaders. Sometimes artists and praise dancers join in as well.

There is a set focus, but not a set format. While well-known songs are often sung, the creative atmosphere centered on the presence of the Lord in Worship Burn Gatherings can create space for a new song of the Lord to flow out. As the Father's heart is revealed, waves of deep intercession for the local community, region and the nations often wash through the room as well as waves of deep rest and joy. This is the heart of the Worship Burn Gathering.

This is an opportunity for both students and adults to engage the Lord on a deeper level and seek Him for revival in each of our hearts and as well as in our region that can impact the nations. You can come and worship, pray, read the Word or just sit quietly before the Lord and soak in His presence. In short, there is great variety and diversity of expression in a Burn Gathering.

Upcoming Worship Burn Dates:

September 17th from 1 p.m. to 10 p.m. @ Church of the Holy Spirit

How Can I Get Involved?

Sign up for 1 or 2 hour prayer shifts as intercessors so there will be continual intercession to go along with the worship.

YWAM needs help with sound, communications, logistics, set-up, and hospitality.

YWAM is also in need of someone who can help with web design to help us communicate what God is doing through these events and keep people up to date on what's coming up as we move forward.

Pray for YWAM as they connect with worship leaders and work out the details of this event and the other monthly ones to follow.

Help get the word out, forward this email, or tell your friends and family to come out because, ultimately, The Lord is worth it all!

If you want to volunteer to help with this event in any way, please contact Bo at 703-303-4357 or Teresa at 703-303-4713 or email us @ thecooksworld@aol.com

(Remember, you don't have to sign up to come and are welcome to come in and out as your schedule allows.)

These Worship Burn gatherings create an environment where we can develop authentic community centered on the presence of the Lord.  Over and over YWAM has heard people across denominations and churches throughout Loudoun County telling us they long to slow down and have more time to simply linger in worship. YWAM has also heard the same longing expressed for a deeper sense of community and connectedness that folks are missing in their fast paced life. If you can relate to this longing and hunger, then we pray you will come and find some satisfaction of that hunger during the weekly gatherings where YWAM has more intimate times of worship, prayer and fellowship. As we re-prioritize our lives and walk out the first commandment to "Love the Lord our God with all our hearts, soul, mind and strength" we find that everything else seems to simply fall into place and our hunger is satisfied.

These gatherings are open to all and, yes, kids are welcome. If you can only come for part of the time, that's fine as well.
