We are contending for breakthrough and awakening over our region through our worship and intercession! He is the Everlasting King, and He reigns! His Kingdom knows no end! Sons and daughters rejoice, shout His name! He is our God! Psalm 22:3 says, “He is enthroned on our praises!” We want to fix our gaze and affection on Jesus. During this Night of Extravagant Worship, Bo Cook (co-leader of Loudoun Burn 24-7) and his band will lead us out as we break open our “alabaster jars” and pour out our love on the Lord. It is in His presence that we are broken, changed, healed, transformed and empowered. We then can be transforming agents to our community.
Special guest and friend, Jason Hershey, Director of YWAM DC and Washington House of Prayer and David’s Tent DC, will also be speaking on “My House Shall Be Called a House of Prayer” and leading out a time of intercession.
A love offering will be taken as well.
Loudoun Burn 24-7 and Bo and Teresa Cook: Bo and Teresa are full-time missionaries for Youth With a Mission, a non-denominational, international mission organization, have lived in Leesburg for nine years. In March of 2011, God called them to launch Loudoun Burn 24-7, a ministry under the covering of YWAM DC committed to raising up 24-7 prayer and vertical worship over Loudoun County unto revival and transformation.
In July of 2011, the Cook's began gathering worship leaders and intercessors monthly to extended times of worship called “Burns” that are 12-24 hours of continual worship hosted at different churches around the county. Since then, they have experienced hundreds of people gather together at Loudoun Burns from many denominations, generations and nations and from over fifty different churches for the purpose of encountering God through prayer and worship.
Testimonies of hearts revived and lives changed, relationships restored, and healing and direction from the Lord received as people have slowed down and soaked in God’s presence. People continue to come forward to encounter God at the Burns over these past couple of years. For more information, visit www.loudounburn24-7.com.
Bo Cook, in addition to co-leading Loudoun Burn 24-7 with his wife, Teresa, is also minstrel, psalmist, worship leader and songwriter whose passion is to worship the Lord and lead others into the His presence. In this capacity, he often brings forth the “new song” that David speaks of repeatedly in the Psalms. Out of his intimate times with the Lord and leading corporate worship at many Houses of Prayer and Burns across the region, the Lord had given Bo many new songs from the scriptures that have been impacting hearts and lives over the past few years. Bo is in the midst of recording his first full length worship album which he hopes to release this August. Go to www.bocook.bandcamp.com for more information.
Jason Hershey is a highly respected, anointed speaker, leader and missionary who is known for his love and passion for Jesus and his family, as well as his humility, servant leadership, and gifting for bringing the Body of Christ together.
He has the Father’s heart of love and compassion for Washington, D.C. and our nation. God called Jason and his wife, Kimberlee, to move to Washington, D.C. as full-time intercessors in 2005. When the Hershey’s arrived in D.C., the Lord called him to not start a House of Prayer or ministry of his own, but simply to go to everyone else's prayer meeting. He has lived in D.C. ever since, praying for awakening for the local city of D.C. and for all of America.
Finally, in January of 2012, God gave Jason the commission to pull the trigger of what was in his heart for years. They birthed Washington House of Prayer, a ministry of YWAM Washington, D.C. Not long after that, God birthed the vision and reality of the 1st David's Tent D.C. as well. David’s Tent D.C. consisted of 1,000 hours of continuous worship led by 166 different worship teams from all fifty states and twelve nations which occurred in a large tent set up on the Ellipse for forty days leading up to the election. However, David’s Tent was not about the elections. It was about Jesus being enthroned and worshipped as King and Lord over the U.S. Please visit www.ywamdc.org and www.davidstentdc.org for more information.
Thank you to Pastor Jeff Jacobs and Word of Life International Church for facilitating this special event. Service times at WOL are Saturday 8 PM and Sunday 10 AM.
