Eastern Loudoun Relay for Life at AOL May 19-20

Come help support the American Cancer Society at the Eastern Loudoun Relay for Life at the AOL campus in Dulles, VA! May 19th - 20th

Cancer. It's a word that stirs many emotions. According to the American Cancer Society's website, "Half of all men and one-third of all women in the US will develop cancer during their lifetimes." This is a startling yet all too real statistic. From mothers and fathers to coworkers, most people have known someone directly affected by this devastating disease.

So what can we do? The American Cancer Society's Relay for Life is being held at the AOL campus in Dulles, VA, May 19-20. The event is a great opportunity to raise money for cancer research. While we take time to honor and remember those who have battled cancer, we will also be celebrating life. We will have live bands, prize patrols, food, a volleyball tournament and much more.

One of our main goals right now is to completely line the track with Luminaria’s.  These lighted bags are purchased in honor or in memory of a person who has battled cancer and will then light the track for the Remembrance Walk at 9 p.m. May 19. Luminarias cost $10 each. If you or anyone you know would like to honor or remember someone with one, please visit www.easternloudounrelay.org for more information.
