Rabbi Holzman of the Northern Virginia Hebrew Congregation presents "Israel in Transition" to Ashby Ponds residents
Rabbi Michael Holzman of the Northern Virginia Hebrew Congregation visited Ashby Ponds retirement community and shared the topic of "Israel in Transition" with residents of the community.
On Wednesday, January 18, Rabbi Michael Holzman of the Northern Virginia Hebrew Congregation visited Ashby Ponds retirement community in Ashburn, and shared the topic of “Israel in Transition” with the residents of the community.
Rabbi Holzman shared with the residents Israel's history, starting with its founding by the United Nations and continuing on to America's present day relationship with Israel and Israel's Prime Minister, Benjamin Neyanyahu.
According to NVHC's website, Rabbi Holzman took over in July 2010 as the congregation's fourth Rabbi. He was ordained in 2003 by Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion in New York and Jerusalem and is a 1995 graduate of Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri.
