Social Web Set To Expand With 5G Mobile Advances

As reported in the Samsung company blog, the Independent and elsewhere, Samsung has “developed the world’s first adaptive array transceiver technology operating in the millimeter-wave” that forms the backbone of 5G mobile technology.

Though this will not be commercially viable for several years, the breakthrough in receiver technology helps shake up our perspectives on what the future of mobile technology can bring to communication, mobile commerce / e-commerce and other areas.

5G technology could enable faster and limitless data transfer of movies and other large files, and have applications beyond digital marketing and commerce to include medicine and enhanced productivity.

Overall, the social web as we know it would expand even greater and faster with this new kind of mobile technology, enabling even greater blending of online and in-person interactions.
