Car Crash In Chantilly Leaves 1 Dead On Wednesday: Police

A vehicle crashed into a utility pole and overturned in Chantilly on Wednesday night, authorities said. One person died in the crash.

LOUDOUN COUNTY, VA — A vehicle crashed into a utility pole and overturned in Chantilly on Wednesday night, the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office said.

Authorities said one person, a man, died in the crash. Officials have not publicly released his name as they work to notify his family.

A passenger, another man, was injured in the crash. He is receiving treatment at an area hospital, but his injuries are not life-threatening, the sheriff's office said.

The crash occurred around 8 p.m. on Wednesday near Bull Run Post Office Road and Cedar Ridge Boulevard in Chantilly. Investigators have not provided any information on what could have led to the crash.

The sheriff's office only noted that deputies were called to the area "for a report of a passenger vehicle that overturned and struck a utility pole." The driver was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash.
