Chesterbrook Academy Donates To Leukemia & Lymphoma Society

Students at the Aldie school held an art show to raise funds and awareness for blood cancer patients.

ALDIE, VA — On Aug. 15, students at Chesterbrook Academy Preschool in Aldie presented a check for $592 to a representative from the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS). To raise money for the organization, students held an art show where they sold handmade jewelry, garden stones and art pieces.

The money donated will help LLS fund lifesaving blood cancer research around the world and provide patients with support services and financial assistance. Through this initiative, students learned the importance of helping others in need.

The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society is the world's largest voluntary health agency dedicated to blood cancer. The LLS mission is to cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin's disease and myeloma, and improve the quality of life of patients and their families
