Chesterbrook Academy Donates to The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society

Students at Chesterbrook Academy Preschool in Aldie presented a check for more than $1,100 to The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society

On Nov. 5, students at Chesterbrook Academy Preschool in Aldie presented a check for more than $1,100 to a representative from the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS). From Oct. 21-25, students collected change and online donations, as well as held a lemonade stand to raise money for the organization. The money donated will help LLS fund lifesaving blood cancer research around the world and provide patients with support services and financial assistance. Through this initiative, students learned the importance of helping others in need.

The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society is the world's largest voluntary health agency dedicated to blood cancer. The LLS mission is to cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin's disease and myeloma, and improve the quality of life of patients and their families
