Chesterbrook Academy® Preschoolers Release Ladybugs for Earth Day
On April 22, students celebrated Earth Day and protecting the environment by releasing thousands of beneficial bugs into their schoolyard

On April 22, students at two Chesterbrook Academy Preschool locations in Ashburn bugged out in celebration of Earth Day as they released thousands of ladybugs throughout the schoolyard and back into the environment on plants, flowers, and trees. In addition to the ladybug release, students also planted seeds and gardened, released worms into the soil, and hosted bug-themed parades and spirit days.
Leading up to Earth Day, students learned that ladybugs serve as a natural pesticide by feeding on insects that could otherwise harm the health of gardens, trees, and shrubs. Chesterbrook Academy Preschool teaches the importance of caring for the Earth and exploring nature at an early age.
