Chesterbrook Academy Teacher Named Preschool Teacher of the Year
Chesterbrook Academy® Preschool teacher Sarah Cockrell receives national award

Chesterbrook Academy Preschool in Ashburn Village is honored to announce that Sarah Cockrell has been named Preschool Teacher of the Year by Nobel Learning Communities, Inc. (NLCI), which is now part of Spring Education Group. The award was formally presented to Cockrell at the Spring Education School Leaders’ Conference in Las Vegas in October.
As Preschool Teacher of the Year, Cockrell is recognized for her ability to connect with the infants in her care, and her dedication to their individual progress and growth. She makes sure that the children are achieving their developmental goals and helps them reach important milestones.
“I nominated Sarah because she puts her heart and soul into what she does, and you can feel it the moment you step into her classroom,” said Amanda Canfield, principal of Chesterbrook Academy Preschool. “Everything is a big step for her students, and you can tell that Sarah is always thinking of ways to encourage them and help them grow. She goes above and beyond for the children in our care and is so deserving of this award. We are lucky to have her as a teacher at our school.”
