Duck Donuts Ashburn Grand Opening To Feature Free Donut Giveaways

ASHBURN, VA — The long-awaited Duck Donuts is opening its doors in Ashburn and will give away free donuts for its grand opening Saturday.

The new Duck Donuts location is at 43150 Broadlands Center Plaza, Suite 156, in Ashburn. The grand opening will kick off at 7 a.m. on Saturday, June 15. The first person in line will get free dozen donuts per month for a year. The next 50 guests will receive Duck Donuts' Sprinkling Happiness Package, which includes two dozen donuts and a bucket of coffee, to be redeemed during a future visit.

To celebrate the grand opening, the first guest in line on Saturday, June 15, will receive one free dozen donuts per month for a year. Additionally, the next 50 guests will receive the Sprinkling Happiness Package, two dozen donuts and a bucket of coffee, for a future visit.

"We are so excited to open our Duck Donuts," said Fernando Castro, the franchise owner and operator of the Ashburn location. "We hope to bring Ashburn, a great family-friendly place where you can get the best warm, delicious and made-to-order donuts."

Duck Donuts has selected Make-A-Wish Mid-Atlantic, which grants wishes to children with critical illnesses, to receive its first Quack Gives Back donation. Customers can donate at the register or purchase a special-edition Wish Rubber Duck to support the cause.

Duck Donuts was founded in 2007 in North Carolina's Outer Banks. The brand specializes in freshly-made customizable donuts with toppings. Customers typically order donuts with a choice of coatings, toppings and drizzles or choose from signature favorites. Other menu offerings are coffee, donut sundaes, donut breakfast sandwiches and milkshakes.

Duck Donuts started franchising in 2013 and has more than 145 locally owned franchises in 25 states, Puerto Rico and international locations.
