Bike to Work Day

Gear up for Bike to Work Day, a celebration of clean and healthy commuting. Bike to Work Day is open to all: those who are experienced bicycle riders as well as anyone who would like to try biking to work for the first time.

Bike to Work Day features some 50 pit stops throughout the metropolitan Washington region. The pit stops distribute free t-shirts to pre-registered riders, serve free refreshments and offer giveaways and prizes.

The Loudoun County Office of Transportation Services will host two Bike to Work Day pit stops along the W&OD Trail. In Leesburg, the stop is at Raflo Park on Harrison Street and in the Sterling/Dulles area, the stop is just east of Route 28 near Orbital Sciences Corporation. Participants may visit any of the stops on their way to work. Last year, 445 cyclists stopped at the two Loudoun County pit stops.
