Join us for our newest and most exciting festival yet, our Bluemont BBQ Bash! We are so excited to announce our first state certified barbecue competition with competitors arriving from all over the country! This event is a Kansas City Barbecue Society certified competition which means it is an official event, not a backyard BBQ. The competition begins on Saturday and we have a jam packed calendar of events! We will be featuring four meat competitions including ribs, pulled pork, chicken, and beef. In addition to the barbecue, our blackberries will be at their peak. Our berries are thornless, trellised for easy picking, and, best of all, they are pesticide FREE! We will have our first Blackberry Bonanza Dessert contest, open to anyone who wishes to enter. Applications and guidelines for the competition are available on our website. Enjoy live entertainment featuring local band LDE, a waiter’s race, three-legged race, tye-dying one of our infamous "Got Berries" t-shirts (or bring items of your own to dye), and of course, all of the great games and activities for the family that Great Country Farms is known for.
