• ‘If I could do it, you can do it too': Giant Food's free English classes help employees move up (wtop.com) — A young deli worker at the Giant Food in Town Center at Sterling has quickly risen to run the department after taking the company’s free English classes. The program, launched with help from Loudoun Literacy Council, offers small-group lessons that have already led to numerous promotions and stronger customer service at local stores.
   

• ICE seeks to deport man linked to Virginia high school overdoses (fox5dc.com) — Loudoun County authorities and ICE are moving to deport a man accused of selling fentanyl linked to student overdoses at Park View High School in Sterling. Officials say he’d previously been ordered removed and was encountered in Sterling in 2024, and now faces both local drug charges and federal immigration action tied to the school-related case.
