Come join the FUN for an exciting week designed to introduce new DSYS cheerleaders and refresh returning cheerleaders on the joy of cheerleading. Offered to all children entering grades K-9th in the 2012/2013 school year, our clinics will teach and refine participant's skills in cheers, chants, motion drills, jumps, voice projection, stunting, jumps and cheer dance! The clinics are taught by certified, award winning staff from top facilities and colleges across the country who are committed to teaching the fundamentals of cheerleading. All clinics will be located at the nZone Sports Complex in Chantilly
Participants will have progressive options for clinics in STUNTS (including JUMPS), CHEER and DANCE. Second level clinics will have a faster paced curriculum and advanced skills. Clinics will provide a fun, safe environment for cheerleaders to practice their skills, learn new ones, and work as a team providing a base-level of skills going into the cheer season! No cheer experience is required!
CLINIC SCHEDULE and DESCRIPTIONS:
Beginner Stunts for grades Kindergarten through 2nd. This clinic will teach basic jumps as well as basic stunts (thigh and below)- JUNE 11 & 12 from 5:30-7:30 pm at the nZone in Chantilly. This is a 2 day clinic. $45
Advanced Stunts for grades 3rd-8th. This clinic focuses on refining skills and teaching advanced level stunting. JULY 9-11 from 5:30-8:30 pm at the nZone in Chantilly. This is a 3 day clinic. $90
Cheer I clinic teaches new cheers, proper arm movements, voice projection and cadence. This clinic is appropriate for all ages. JUNE 13-15 from 5:30-8:30 pm AND JUNE 16 from 9-11 am at the nZone in Chantilly. This is a 4 day clinic. $110
Dance I will teach basic dance moves, counts and girls will put it all together. JUNE 18-20 from 5:30-8:00 pm at the nZone in Chantilly. This is a 3 day clinic. $80
Dance II will refine moves, teach more complex combinations to complete a new routine. JULY 23-25 from 5:30-8:30 pm at the nZone in Chantilly. This is a 3 day clinic. $90
