Great Meadow, host to the Virginia Gold Cup steeplechase races, is a world class international polo field that has been described as one of the best playing surfaces between New York and South Carolina. Great Meadow Polo Club has over 75 playing members, making it one of the largest in the region. During the summer more than 20,000 fans - young professionals as well as families - gather at Great Meadow with tailgates and picnics to watch the Twilight Polo program featuring two matches every Saturday night. Kids will enjoy playing with and getting goodies from Polo Bear, as well as the fun and games during halftime. Bring your own food or purchase items from our vendors on site. Enjoy a bottle of wine from Boxwood Vineyards and drink it on our entertainment deck in the north goal area - you will love the action! The fun doesn’t end once the match is over!
