LEESBURG, VA — A man was arrested Tuesday for fatally shooting his father last week in Loudoun County, according to the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office. Michael F. Bowles, 20, was arrested in Fairfax County and is awaiting transport back to Loudoun County.
The body of his father, Mario M. Bowles, 52, was found last Wednesday in a burned-down house in the rural area of Bald Hill Road and Steed Hill Lane near Lucketts, according to the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office. Shortly after 5 p.m., a fire unit was dispatched to the scene after a passerby reported seeing smoke in the area. Upon arrival, it found a two-story, single-family home with fire on both the first and second floors. Other area fire units responded to the blaze.
