Graduating Girl Scouts Share Experiences and Advice

Girl Scout panel workshop for teen scouts

Ashburn, VA - Members from 12th grade Ambassador Girl Scout troops 6480 and 1314 led a panel workshop on February 11th. The panelists shared their Girl Scout experiences and advice with an audience of approximately 50 Girl Scout teens and their leaders. The interactive session elicited many questions from the younger teens on topics ranging from balancing time in high school and finding time for scouting to the challenges of working on the Girl Scout Gold Award.

Two of the 12th graders on the panel have earned the Girl Scout Gold Award, the highest award in Girl Scouts. Several of the panelists have earned the Girl Scout Silver Award, the second highest award in Girl Scouts. A couple of the girls have also earned the Silver Trefoil, an award earned for performing 100 hours of service.
