Home Alone: Mother Charged in Sterling
A woman left her three young children home alone with scant food, according to the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office. She was arrested.

STERLING, VA — A woman left her three young children home alone with scant food last Friday in the 500 block of East Poplar Road, according to the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office.
Santos M. Serrano-Flores, 35, of Sterling, was charged with three counts of felony abuse and neglect of children. She also was served with two misdemeanor warrants for domestic assault from a previous incident.
She's being held without bond.

The children all were younger than 9.
The mother was found by police with help from Loudoun County Child Protective Services.
