Homelessness Doubles In Loudoun County In 2023, Report Says
Homelessness is on the rise throughout the region. A 2023 report found that homelessness in Loudoun County has doubled since 2022.
LOUDOUN COUNTY, VA — Since 2022, homelessness has doubled in Loudoun County, according to a May 2023 report from the Metropolitan Washington Council of Governments.
Governments around the region contributed to the report by counting the residents in their jurisdiction who were without a home on Jan. 25, 2023.
"It is important to note that this 'snapshot,' by definition, provides only one perspective on the state of homelessness in the region on only one night," the writers of the report said. "The count may be influenced by numerous variables, such as weather and shelter bed availability by jurisdiction."
