Late-Night Brawl May Have Been Racially Motivated

One injured in confrontation in Sterling, says Loudoun County Sheriff's Office.

Loudoun County police are investigating a brawl early Saturday in Sterling that sent an unidentifed man to the hospital.

The victim told police that he was outside of a business with friends at about 1:35 a.m. Saturday in the 46000 block of Old Ox Road when they were approached by a group of young men and women. The group included six black males and two black females who appeared to be in their early 20s, according to the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office.

The group made “racial remarks” toward the victim and his friends, the sheriff’s office said. The victim was then grabbed by some of the suspects and assaulted. He received minor injuries and was taken to a local hospital.
