LCSO Identifies 2 People Found Dead At Ashburn Home

The Loudoun County Sheriff's Office identified two people who were killed Tuesday morning in what is being investigated as a murder-suicide.

ASHBURN, VA — The Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office on Thursday identified two people who were killed Tuesday morning in what is being investigated as a murder-suicide.

Shortly before 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday, the LCSO responded to the 20060 block of Old Line Terrace and found John N. Ratib Sharmoukh, 45, outside his home. A woman, identified as Mariam A. Farouk Kamal, 31, was found dead inside the home.

The LCSO is investigating the murder-suicide in partnership with the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner and the Loudoun County Fire Marshal’s Office.

The sheriff's office said nobody else was in the residence at the time of the murder-suicide.
