Victim Identified In Fatal Pedestrian Crash: Update

A 61-year-old Ashburn woman was killed when she was struck by a car on Waxpool Road in Loudoun County.

LOUDOUN COUNTY, VA — The Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an early-morning crash that resulted in the death of a 61-year-old Ashburn woman. According to a new report, Perveen Bilal Bin Butt was killed when she was struck by a car in the area of Waxpool Road east of Ashburn Village Boulevard.

The crash occurred shortly after 5 a.m. Tuesday morning. The vehicle that struck the victim was traveling in the eastbound lanes at the time, and according to the Loudoun County Sheriff's report, the victim was not in a crosswalk at the time of the crash.

The driver involved in the crash remained on scene. Waxpool Road was closed in both directions for a period of time Tuesday morning. Officials said alcohol, drugs, cell phone use, and speed don't appear to be factors in the crash.
