Loudoun Police Ask Public for Tips in 2009 Homicide
Two suspects in Middleburg killing are still at large, says Loudoun County Sheriff's Office.

The Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help and witnesses to step forward in finding two suspects in the 2009 killing of a jockey at the Middleburg Training Center.
Saturday is the sixth anniversary of the death of Jose Daniel “Danny” Soto, as the result of a fight between him and the two suspects at the horse training center, the sheriff’s office said Friday. Both suspects are originally from Mexico, but their current whereabouts are unknown.

The sheriff’s office has obtained criminal warrants for manslaughter for the two suspects, who were employees of the training center at the time of Soto’s death. The suspects were identified as Alberto Garcia Perez and Timoteo Hernandez Cruz.
Both are described as Hispanic males. Perez is about 5 feet 6 inches tall, with short black hair and brown eyes. Cruz, who also goes by the name of Naris Timmy, is about 5 fwet 8 inches tall, weighs around 145 pounds, has dark hair, dark eyes, a medium build and an olive complexion, the sheriff’s office said.
