Male in Custody for Unlawfully Entering Stone Hill Middle School with a Hammer
Loudoun County, VA (October 15, 2020) – A male is in custody and an investigation is underway regarding an adult male who unlawfully entered Stone Hill Middle School in Ashburn with a hammer.

Loudoun County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to Stone Hill Middle School, 23415 Evergreen Ridge Drive in Ashburn at approximately 12:17 pm, after receiving a call that a male carrying a hammer made entry into the school. School officials immediately placed the school in lockdown.
Deputies located the male in an empty classroom and he was taken into custody without incident. The school was occupied by staff and a small group of students. The male had no contact with any of the students and there were no injuries reported.
Prior to the call at Stone Hill Middle School, deputies were investigating a call in the 23000 block of Cypress Glen Square in Ashburn, for a report of a suspicious male carrying a hammer trying to make entry into a residence.
At this time the investigation is continuing and more information will be released when available.
