Man Arrested For Soliciting Juvenile On-line in Ashburn: Police

A Maryland man has been arrested for allegedly having sex with an Ashburn juvenile after luring her to Baltimore via social media: LCSO.

ASHBURN, VA — A Maryland man has been arrested for allegedly having a sexual relationship with a female Ashburn juvenile after luring her to Baltimore via social media, according to the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office. Police also are investigating other potential victims. Derrick La Marr Jones, 35, of Catonsville, Md., was charged with two counts of "illegal use of a communication system to solicit with lascivious intent a minor between the age of 15 and 18."

Police say Jones has used social media to connect with juvenile females at "multi-genre entertainment/comic book conventions." He often uses the alias of Kanovski Zan-Lee Vulgen or “Kano” or “Lee” and introduces himself as being in his late teens or early 20s. Since March 2017, Jones has been in the area of Orlando, Albuquerque, Flagstaff, Phoenix, Los Angeles, Sacramento and Salt Lake City.

On March 7, police responded to a report from a family member that a juvenile female was communicating with an adult male and engaging in sexual activity with him. Police investigated and found that Jones had provided transportation for the teen to the Baltimore area to meet him.
