Man Assaults Cyclist In Sterling: Police

Police are looking for a man who assaulted a cyclist Sunday night in Sterling, according to the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office.

STERLING, VA—Police are looking for a man who assaulted a cyclist Sunday night in the 46000 block of Algonkian Parkway, according to the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office. He's described as black and around 5-8.

Shortly after 8:30 p.m., police responded to the scene for a reported assault. The victim said she was riding her bicycle in the aforementioned area when she passed an unknown man. She said he then ran up behind her and slapped her on the head, causing her to fall.

The woman suffered minor injuries. Anyone with information is urged to call police at 703-777-0407.
