Marlins Caught in Summerwood Pool

The Ashburn Farm Barracudas maintained their undefeated record for the season in a nailbiter of a meet this Saturday at their home pool against the Manor Gate Marlins with a 232 to 212 win.  At the end of the individual events the score stood at Barracudas 183 to the Marlins 177, with twelve relay events left to finish the meet.  The swimmers traded wins in the relays right up to the penultimate event, with the Barracudas finally clinching the win in the eleventh relay.

The strongest age bracket for the Barracudas this week was the 13-14 Girls who scored a 29 out of a possible 36 points.  They also won their relay and defended their position as the Colonial Swim League leaders in the 200 Meter Medley Relay.   The 9-10 Boys and 13-14 Boys followed with 24 out of 36 points each. 

Overall, the top point getter for the Barracudas Girls was Brooke Matthias who, for the third week in a row, took 15 points, winning each of her individual events.   Brooke Thomas took home 11 points, while Taylor Coon and Alyssa Coon each took 9.

Among the boys  Alexander Misiaszek took home 15 points  for the  third week in a row.  James Gill also took home 15 points by winning each of his individual events, while Michael Kost took 11 points, and Daniel Marron 10. 

The Barracudas are looking forward to their next meet on Saturday at home again versus Chase Club.
