Narcotics Thief Succeeds On Second Try In Sterling: Police

Police are looking for a man who robbed a pharmacy of narcotics Monday after trying to do the same thing at another Sterling drug store.

STERLING, VA — Police are looking for a man who robbed a pharmacy of narcotics mid-day Monday about an hour after unsuccessfully trying to do the same thing at another drug store, according to the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office. He's described as white and was wearing a white hooded sweatshirt with black stripes, a red "Make America Great Again" cap, sunglasses, black pants and black shoes.

In the first incident, around 11 a.m., the man went to a Rite Aid in the 46000 block of Cedar Lake Plaza. He handed the pharmacist a note implying he had a gun and demanding prescription medication. He was rebuffed but an hour later went to a CVS in the 400 block of Enterprise Street. Same note, same demand, and this time it worked.

He fled after getting the drugs. Anyone with information is urged to call Det. M. Bush at 703-777-1021.
