New Rental Assistance Program For Those Impacted By Coronavirus
Renters in Loudoun County who have been impacted by the new coronavirus pandemic will be able to participate in a rental assistance program.
LOUDOUN COUNTY, VA – Renters in Loudoun County who have been impacted by the new coronavirus pandemic will be able to breathe a sigh of relief thanks to a new, limited rental assistance program just announced by the county.
The Board of Supervisors has approved re-allocating $200,000 from the Eastern Loudoun County Home Revitalization Program to create a rental assistance program to help ensure housing stability for low-income workers who have been furloughed, lost jobs or had work hours reduced due to the pandemic.
Program terms include income eligibility based on household size for households earning up to 70% of the state median income ($60,332 for a family of four); direct payments made to landlords or property management companies on behalf of qualifying residents; and up to three months' rent coverage.

Loudoun County residents who were current in their rent payments as of March 30 and who need help paying rent may call 703-777-0420 for assistance.
The program is intended to continue as long as the emergency declaration is in effect and funding remains available.
