Loudoun County Mall Gains New Zealand-Style Ice Cream Shop, Future Coffee Bar
New Zealand-style ice cream is the latest addition to Dulles Town Center, and a new coffee bar is expected in the future.

STERLING, VA — Dulles Town Center's food court is looking more full, with a new ice cream vendor and a future coffee vendor on the way.
New Zealand-style ice cream shop Jamun has opened in the Dulles Town Center food court on the upper level. According to the business, New Zealand ice cream stands out for its "creamy, smooth texture and vibrant flavors" and transformation from hand-dipped ice cream into fluffy soft serve. It differs from traditional ice cream because it is blended to order.
"We’re incredibly excited to launch Jamin at Dulles Town Center," said Neal Miglani, co-owner of JAMUN. “Our New Zealand-style soft serve is truly one-of-a-kind, and we can’t wait for the people of Northern Virginia to experience it. The energy at the mall is fantastic, and we’ve already seen a significant increase in visitors in our short time here."

The ice cream includes a choice of real fruit and flavors inspired by South Asian, Middle Eastern and Asian flavors. The shop carries traditional flavors like vanilla, chocolate and pistachio along with cardamom, spiced chai, mango and others. Guests can then choose fruit (strawberry, mango, peach or blueberry), toppings and drizzles. Vegan vanilla ice cream is also an option. In all, the shop offers 16 ice cream flavors, 10 different drizzles and 10 toppings.
The ice cream making process involves hand dipping hard ice cream, then placing it into a machine to blend it with fruit. The result is a fluffy soft serve with a smooth texture and natural fruit flavor.

In the coming weeks, Jamun plans to offer freshly-baked cookies in partnership with MOLTN Cookies and fresh-squeezed lemonades with global flavors.
Along with Jamun, another vendor space will soon be full. Saudi coffee shop Shotted is advertised as opening in another food court space at Dulles Town Center. Shotted started as a pop-up in 2019 and is now open in Tysons Corner Center and Tysons Galleria.

Dulles Town Center, Loudoun County's only traditional indoor mall, has been plagued by vacancies inside the mall and outbuildings on the mall's property. The mall's new owner recently proposed 1,000 housing units in the outskirts of the mall property, Washington Business Journal and The Burn first reported in June.
A Spirit Halloween store will temporarily open at the mall in the former Danker Furniture space (21100 Dulles Town Circle, Sterling, VA) for the season. An opening date has not yet been announced, although a few other Spirit Halloween stores have started to open in Northern Virginia.
