Pacific Boulevard Extension, Widening Public Hearing Tuesday

Plan would extend road to near Route 7, according to Virginia Department of Transportation.

The Virginia Department of Transportation will hold a design public hearing Tuesday, April 1, on plans to extend Pacific Boulevard from Nokes Boulevard to Richfield Way, as well as widen the section from Severn Way to Nokes Boulevard from two to four lanes.

The public can stop by to review and discuss plans between 6 p.m. and 8 p.m. at Steuart W. Weller Elementary School, 20700 Marblehead Drive in Ashburn.

The meeting will be an open-house format with VDOT staff on hand to discuss project information and answer questions.

Citizens may provide oral and written comments at the hearing or submit them by April 15, 2014 to Ms. Susan Shaw, P.E., Virginia Department of Transportation, 4975 Alliance Drive, Fairfax, VA 22030.
