Pint-Sized Speedster's 'Drive' Cut Short By Loudoun Co. Sheriff

LOUDOUN COUNTY, VA — A young driver was out for a Sunday morning cruise in his Lamborghini when he was stopped by the flashing lights of a Loudoun County Sheriff's Office cruiser behind him.

Could deputies have written this pint-sized speedster a ticket? Sure, but instead, they opted to use it as a memorable opportunity for the little boy, who was given a personal tour of the cruiser that carried out his "traffic stop," according to a sheriff office post on Facebook.

While the stop may have been an adorable way to announce the department's Coffee With A Cop events next month, it still managed to bring community members together ahead of time.

Curious about what was happening, it took little time for a group of neighbors to form an impromptu gathering with the officer and the little boy, where they enjoyed their morning coffee, checked out the cruisers and talked with deputies.

If you want a chance to have coffee with Loudoun County officers, National Coffee with a Cop Day will be commemorated Oct. 2 at five different locations in Loudoun County. Sheriff Mike Chapman, LCSO command staff and leadership team, and deputies will be on hand at each event in Sterling, Ashburn, Brambleton and Lovettsville.
