Planet Fitness To Host Coronavirus-Safe Ribbon-Cutting In Ashburn

Planet Fitness is hosting a grand opening celebration on Thursday, including a ribbon-cutting, at its new club in Ashburn.

ASHBURN, VA — Planet Fitness is hosting a grand opening celebration on Thursday at its new facility in Ashburn where it will conduct a socially distanced ribbon-cutting with members of the Loudoun County Chamber of Commerce and the Loudoun County Department of Economic Development.

The new club, at 44155 Ashbrook Marketplace Plaza, will hold the grand opening celebration from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. New members can join for $10 down, then $10 per month or $22.99 per month for a PF Black Card. New members will also receive the first month free with no commitment through July 31.

The facility will be open and staffed from 5 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 5 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Fridays, and 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays.

"We are excited to bring our Judgement Free fitness experience to the Ashburn community,” said Russ Preite, president and CEO of PLNTF Holdings, a Planet Fitness franchise with 83 locations. “At Planet Fitness, we offer an affordable membership for a high-quality fitness center and welcome anyone, at any fitness level into our friendly, comfortable, and non-intimidating environment."

In response to the coronavirus crisis, Planet Fitness will conduct daily temperature checks for its employees. Thorough cleanings will be conducted using disinfectant the coronavirus. The fitness center will provide increased sanitization stations on the gym floor, touchless check-in through the Planet Fitness app and some pieces of cardio equipment temporarily marked out-of-use to create additional distance between members.
