STERLING, VA—A woman who fled from police by vehicle and then by foot was arrested early Monday in the area of North Sterling Boulevard and North Brunswick Street, according to the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office. Laporche R. Morris, 32, of Sterling, was charged with eluding, obstruction of justice, driving on suspended license (3rd offense) and failure to surrender plates.

Around 3 a.m., an officer saw a driver unable to stay in her lane at Potomac View Road and Route 7. He tried to pull her over but she kept going until turning onto North Brunswick Street. She then got out of the vehicle and walked away from it, but that didn't last long as officers quickly arrested her without incident.
