Robbery Reported In Sterling On Wednesday Evening: Police

Authorities with the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office are investigating a robbery that reportedly occurred in Sterling on Wednesday evening.

LOUDOUN COUNTY, VA — A robbery was reported in Sterling on Wednesday night, according to the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office. Now, authorities are looking for five male suspects and one female suspect.

The two victims told police that they met in the area of Westminster Place nar Courtyard Square around 8 p.m. on Wednesday. At the time, they were approached by the six suspects who were all wearing masks, according to the police report.

"The subjects demanded the victim’s belongings and at one point the victims fled on foot and the subjects chased them," the sheriff's office wrote in a news release on Thursday morning. "During the incident, one of the subjects implied he had a firearm, and a second subject was believed to be carrying a firearm in his waistband."

At one point, one of the victims was pushed to the ground and his cell phone was taken, police said. The victim reported minor injuries.

The suspects were described as Black males in their mid-to-late teens, according to authorities. They were wearing dark-colored hooded sweatshirts and ski masks.
