Serial Home Burglar Busted In Sterling: Police

A suspected serial burglar was arrested Monday for a string of brazen home invasions in October: Loudoun County Sheriff's Office.

STERLING, VA — A suspected serial burglar was arrested Monday for a string of brazen home invasions in October, according to the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office. Robert M. Williams-Dixon, 33, of no fixed address, was charged with 11 counts of burglary, 11 counts of grand larceny, two counts of credit card larceny and two counts of credit card fraud. He's being held without bond.

The burglaries occurred Oct. 13 (three), Oct. 15 (one), Oct. 17 (three), Oct. 18 (three), Oct. 21 (one) and Nov. 2 (one). They were all in the Sterling area north of Route 7. In most of the cases, he entered the homes through garages by using garage door openers found in unlocked cars while the victims were sleeping.

Police say more charges are likely, and that they're comparing notes with detectives in neighboring jurisdictions.
