Sketches Released Of Men Wanted In Sterling Armed Robbery

STERLING, VA — The Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help identifying two suspects wanted in connection with an Aug. 24 armed robbery of a bicyclist. Officials said the robbery happened on the Washington and Old Dominion Trail near Williamsburg Road in Sterling.

According to a sheriff’s office report, the victim was riding her bicycle on the W&OD Trail at approximately 1 p.m. when she was approached by two men. The report said one man took out a firearm and demanded the rider hand over her belongings. During the incident, the victim’s personal belongings and bicycle were stolen.

Police said the suspects fled the area towards Herndon, and the incident was later reported to law enforcement. The victim reported minor injuries from the incident.

Both suspects were described as Hispanic males. The first suspect was described as approximately 19 years old with a medium complexion and shaved head. He was approximately five-feet five-inches tall with a thin build. He was wearing dark-colored jean shorts, a white shirt, and a white hat. The second suspect was also described as approximately 19 years old. He had a dark complexion and was approximately five-feet seven-inches tall with a heavy build. He was wearing blue jeans and a black shirt with red horizontal stripes at the time of the incident.
