Sobriety Checkpoint Nabs One Drunk Driver In Loudoun County

A weekend sobriety checkpoint in Loudoun County nabbed one drunk driver out of the 447 vehicles that went through it: LCSO

STERLING, VA — Of the 447 vehicles that went through a sobriety checkpoint late Friday night and into early Saturday morning at West Church Road and Davis Drive, 10 were checked for possible intoxication by the driver and one person was charged with drunk driving, according to the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office.

Melissa D. Slusar, 29, of Lovetsville was charged with driving under the influence and refusal of a breath test. She was taken to jail and released on a $1,000 unsecured bond. The checkpoint was in place from 10 p.m.-3 a.m.
