State Police Investigate Fatal Loudoun County Crash
Police said the driver of a Volkswagen crossed the median of Belmont Ridge Road and struck another vehicle, killing its driver.
LOUDOUN COUNTY, VA — Virginia State Police are investigating a two-car crash that left one person dead and two injured Monday. Ammie K. Cho, 34, of Aldie, Va., died after the driver of a 2012 Volkswagen crossed the median and hit Cho’s vehicle, police said.
According to a police report, an 18-year-old from Ashburn, Va., was driving the Volkswagen in the southbound lanes of Belmont Ridge Road at approximately 7:20 a.m. Aug. 14 when it ran off the left side of the road, went over the curb, through the median and into the northbound lanes. The vehicle hit a 2013 Subaru traveling northbound. The Subaru was driven by Cho.
Cho died at the scene, police said, and a 4-year-old female passenger was transported to Inova Loudoun Hospital for treatment of serious but non-life threatening injuries. The child was secured in a child safety seat, police said.

The driver of the Volkswagen, an 18-year-old male was transported to Reston Hospital Center for treatment of serious but non-life threatening injuries.
Charges are pending at this time, police said, as the investigation continues.
