Temple of Healing Waters Church Revival 2016 in Sterling

As The Temple of Healing Waters’ congregation prepares for Fall Revival, please join them in fasting to prepare hearts and minds to hear what thus says the Lord.

Scripture Reading: 2 Chronicles 7:14, Job 22: 28, Psalm 23:1-3, Isaiah 45:3, Isaiah 45:22, Joel 2: 28, Galatians 3:29, Ephesians 5:8-11,3 John 1:2

This fast will be a partial fast. The fast will begin Thursday, Oct 14, 2016 (midnight) through Wednesday, Oct. 19, 2016 (3 PM). The time is from 12 AM to 3 PM daily.

Guidelines for the fast include Prayer in the morning for a minimum of twenty (20) minutes, along with reading the scriptures listed above. Drink water, 100% juices, protein shakes and protein bars (in the morning or afternoon after exercising). Eating is permitted after 3 PM daily. Baked, grilled or boiled fish, poultry, fruits and vegetables are acceptable for the fast. This will be a partial fast in as much as it omits certain foods or is on a schedule that includes limited eating. Those who are on certain medications, please continue to follow your doctor's instructions.

Food restrictions include refraining from coffee, or eating fast/junk food (examples include some restaurants, chips, cake). No sugars- however, Splenda and Equal for tea are allowed in moderation. Meats that are limited are beef, pork and foods cannot be fried.

Other restrictions include minimizing unnecessary communication with others. Focus on Christ- Centered communication during this period. Please abstain from viewing and listening to entertainment or media that is not edifying to the purpose of the fast or your Christian growth.
