Townhouse Fire Quickly Extinguished in Ashburn: Police

The first-floor unit had been vacant for an extended period, according to Loudoun County Police. No one was injured; no one was displaced.

ASHBURN, VA — A vacant unit of a townhouse suffered significant damage from a fire that quickly was extinguished Tuesday morning in the 43000 block of Chokeberry Square, according to Loudoun County Police.

There were no injuries and no one was displaced from adjoining units.

The initial estimate of damage was $100,000.

Shortly before 8 a.m., Loudoun County Fire and Rescue units were dispatched to a report of a fire alarm and upon arriving saw smoke and a fire inside a middle unit on the first floor.
