Traffic Alert: These Weekend Events May Cause Delays

The Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office is advising residents of weekend events that may cause traffic delays in various areas of the county.

• A 5K race will be held in the area of Broad Run High School in Ashburn on Saturday and may impact traffic on Ashburn Road, Farmwell Road, Hemingway Drive and Faulkner Parkway between 7:30 AM and 10:30 AM.
• A race in Cascades on Saturday may impact traffic on Algonkian Parkway. Whitewater Drive, Lowes Island Boulevard and Saulty Drive between 7:30 AM and 10:30 AM.
• A 5K event on Saturday in Ashburn may impact traffic on Ashburn Village Parkway, Fincastle Drive, Ringold Place, Gloucester Parkway, and Tavern Drive between 8 AM and 11 AM.
• Expect increased traffic on Evergreen Mills Road near Arcola for an event at the Shirdi Sai Mandir Temple on Saturday between 4:30 PM and 8:30 PM.
• A 5K race on Sunday in the Belmont Greene area of Ashburn may impact traffic on Portsmouth Boulevard, Breezyhill Road, Hay Road, Charter Oak Drive and Winkel Drive from 6:30 AM to 9:30 AM.
• A 5K race in the area of the Brambleton Town Center on Sunday may impact traffic on Northstar Boulevard, Soave Drive, Olympia Drive, Courtland Park Drive and Regal Wood Drive between 7:30 AM and 10:30 AM.

Motorists are asked to please be patient, drive safely, follow all law-enforcement direction and have a safe weekend.
