Woman Accosted While Jogging on W&OD Trail

Loudoun sheriff’s deputies are looking for a young man who committed a sexual assault Saturday afternoon on the Washington & Old Dominion trail in Sterling.

A woman was running on the trail when a male on a bicycle touched her inappropriately while he passed her, according to the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office.

The incident occurred at about 3 p.m. at the trail’s intersection with Ruritan Circle, at mile marker 35, near where the trail passes under Church Road, a police report stated.

The suspect was described by the sheriff’s office as a Hispanic male in his early 20s. He was wearing a black baseball hat, a dark T-shirt and shorts at the time of the incident.
