ASHBURN, VA — The medical examiner's office for Loudoun County ruled Monday that an accidental fentanyl overdose led to the death of a woman who was dropped off at the hospital by Washington Redskins safety Montae Nicholson, according to reports. Nicholson and the 21-year-old woman, Julia Crabbe, were reportedly part of a group that went out to dinner Nov. 14 before returning to Nicholson's Loudoun County home.

Nicholson and another man reportedly brought Crabbe, of Reston, to the emergency room later that night. Hospital personnel previously said that Crabbe was suffering from an apparent drug overdose when she was admitted on Nov. 14.

"The manner of death is accident and the cause of death is fentanyl intoxication," the medical examiner told FOX 5 on Monday.
