Advent Meditations: Day Four

Each of Day Four's scriptures, Psalm 19; Deuteronomy 30:11-14; Romans 10:8b-18; Matthew 4:18-22, focus on words. The writer of today's Advent meditation says, "The words we speak encourage or discourage; they build up or tear down; they foster unity or fuel destruction." She encourages us: "During Advent let us meditate on the power of words, and the choice we have to use them for life, even life eternal."
